Slime Care Guide: Keep Your Slime Fresh & Fun!

With proper care, slimes can last for a several months. However, it is normal for slimes to deflate or melt over time depending on the weather or length of time it's been stored. In most cases, correcting the consistency of your slime is a super easy, quick fix!

To keep your slime in a good state for as long as possible, make sure to wash your hands before playing and play on a clean surface to avoid debris or bacteria from getting into your slime.

After playing, store your slime in an airtight container and a cool environment. Be sure to reactivate your slime frequently by using the slime activator included with your order.

How to Store Your Slime Properly

✅ Always store your slime in an airtight container or resealable bag to prevent it from drying out.

✅ Keep your slime away from direct sunlight and heat to avoid melting or changing texture.

✅ Room temperature is ideal—no need to refrigerate your slime unless it’s extremely hot.

Avoid exposure to air for too long; always close the lid properly after playing.

✅ If you have scented slime, store different scents separately to prevent them from mixing.

Sticky Slime? Try These Solutions!

🔹If your slime becomes too sticky, add a few drops of slime activator (borax solution, contact lens solution, or liquid starch) and knead it well.

🔹 Wash your hands before playing—dirty hands can make slime stickier and collect dust.

🔹 Apply a small amount of baby oil or lotion to your hands before touching the slime to reduce stickiness.

🔹 If slime is too runny, place it in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to thicken it.

🔹 Use a clean, dry surface when playing to prevent it from sticking to unwanted places.

How to Fix Hard or Dry Slime

💧 If your slime starts to dry out or harden, add a small amount of glycerin, lotion, or baby oil and knead it back to softness.
💧 For extremely dry slime, mix a few drops of warm water into it and let it sit in a sealed container for a few hours.
💧 Microwave for 3-5 seconds (only for certain types of slime) and knead while warm. Be careful—don’t overheat!
💧 Store in a humid place or keep a damp paper towel inside the container for extra moisture.
💧 If slime is beyond repair, it's time to make or buy a fresh batch!
